Priorities for Research in Medical Education

The general objectives:

 Accreditation Program / Curriculum of general medicine compared with national basic standards / vital education programs approved by the Ministry of Health / Medical strengths at document / Document of National Health 

 Development

 Assessment Program / Curriculum general medicine from the perspective of students / faculty members / administrators group / hospital teaching assistants / staff

 Students and interns / professionals and medical experts / officials of the University and School of Medicine

Some specific objectives are: to

 set standards for clinical education, clinical evaluation, faculty evaluation, etc.;

 examine the processes and outcomes of the training of basic and clinical departments according to public records upstream and clinical needs

 carry conventional methods of teaching - learning and assessment in basic and clinical departments (processes, experiences, learning, problem solving, critical thinking, reasoning, clinical decision-making) and compare them    

   with the necessary training standards and programs approved by Ministry of Health.

 arrange beds required for the application of modern methods of teaching and evaluation of clinical and basic groups;

 evaluate barriers and facilitators of student participation in planning, implementation and evaluation of educational activities;

 compare the clinical needs of GPs;

 run effective science education from the perspective of students and graduates;

 compare fields of clinical medical education of general practitioners working after graduation;

 assess the clinical competence of medical students at the end of the apprenticeship / internship and compare it with the minimum capabilities document;

 assess compliance with the training program should be approved by the Ministry of clinical groups) in terms of content, teaching methods and evaluation;

 motivate medical students;

 study factors influencing students' motivation;

 assess knowledge / attitudes and faculty in the areas of communication skills, commitment and professional ethics;

 survey faculty competence in communication skills, commitment and professional ethics;

 assess knowledge / attitudes and students / graduates of medical school in Mashhad, communication skills, commitment and professional ethics;

 evaluate the potential of students / graduates of medical school in Mashhad, communication skills, commitment and professional ethics;

 set the role of faculty in teaching and communication skills, commitment and professional ethics;

 observe the efficacy of communication skills training for medical students and medical ethics;

 have impact on confidence and communication skills, professional and academic success of students;

 assess the implementation and effectiveness of clinical training / clinical rounds / morning reports, and clinical groups;

 evaluate the applicability and effectiveness of clinical departments and internal evaluation of approaches;

 assure clinical efficacy and external assessment groups in terms of students / teachers / assistants / managers, clinical teams / groups responsible for clinical training;

 evaluate teaching effectiveness;
 
 make distinction among different fields of clinical groups in terms of students / teachers / assistants;

 assess the implementation and effectiveness of the clinical groups, training log books;

 assess the success and effectiveness of the bookmarks assistant logs;

 evaluate the applicability and effectiveness of lesson plans and projects in basic and clinical courses in groups;

 evaluate the applicability and effectiveness of training manuals in clinical groups;

 identify factors affecting the success of faculty in medical education (including specialized education, academic rank);

 evaluate the effect of current faculty / school regulations and incentives to promote the success of faculty;

 evaluate the process of selecting talented teachers and students while comparing them with GP capabilities document at least graduated from Iran University of Medical Sciences;

 evaluate the policy implications of talented teachers and other students compared with students in selected medical mission;

 establishing critical thinking skills in students / faculty;

 probe the analytical studies on students' academic progress and decline;
